Linda K. Hinkle, PhD, HSPP, is a clinical psychologist who has been helping clients since 1989. She received both her PhD and Master’s degrees in the clinical psychology area at Purdue University. Dr. Hinkle received her undergraduate training in psychology from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois. Her HSPP (Health Service Provider in Psychology) designation signifies that she is licensed and qualified to practice independently in Indiana. She is also authorized to see clients who are located in most other states, as long as they have passed Psypact legislation (see map of participating states at https://psypact.gov/page/psypactmap).
Dr. Hinkle taught psychology at DePauw University in Indiana and at Edinboro University in Pennsylvania, in addition to her clinical experience as a psychologist in Indiana and Pennsylvania. She has worked in private practice since 1989.
Dr. Hinkle has provided workshops and presentations for professional and lay audiences on a variety of topics, including eating disorders and EMDR, among others. She is a certified EMDR therapist, having been trained by the founder, Francine Shapiro. Through her caring approach, Dr. Hinkle has helped hundreds of clients move on to healing and wholeness.
Personally, Dr. Hinkle is a Christian. She is a married mother of two grown sons and is active in her nondenominational church.
