I grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada, with eight siblings and learned how to get along with others in a large family. My parents were church planters in Nevada after leaving the farm life in Oklahoma. I played tennis in high school and was also very interested in pursuing a career helping people. After graduating high school, I attended Westmont College in California for two years and then completed my B.A. in psychology at the University of Nevada, Reno. After several years, I went back to school to complete my M.A. in Counseling and Educational Psychology in 1992, with a dual emphasis in marriage and family counseling and school counseling. I worked in schools for 15 years as a school counselor, teacher, and administrator. I then began counseling in private practice in Oregon in 2008 and worked with individuals, couples and families. In my former marriage, I raised three children who are now young adults, and two are married. I moved to Colorado from Oregon in 2017 and remarried in 2018. My husband Dave, and I are enjoying our six grandchildren and all the giggles, hugs, and play they bring. We’ve also hosted a life group through our church for 4 years. In my free time, I enjoy hiking in the mountains, cooking paleo recipes, writing scripture meditations, bicycling, and having lattes with friends.

Spiritual support is offered to those who are seeking faith-based counseling. Help for those who are suffering from trauma or betrayal is also offered. Hope and healing are provided to help you thrive, have greater joy, and peace in Christ.
I do provide out of state Life Coaching services for those who are not in state and are not looking for deep trauma work, but rather help with transitions and personal goal setting.
