Sandra Nelson

I provide individual adult counseling to women, ages 18 and up. My approach involves treating a wide range of emotional, relational and behavioral concerns primarily through cognitive behavioral therapy, though I will utilize other therapeutic approaches when applicable. I have worked in various mental health and therapy settings since obtaining my Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from Rutgers University in 1994. I strive to provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals to learn, heal and grow. I do not believe in a one size fits all approach and work alongside people individually to foster an empathetic and nurturing relationship while sorting through life’s struggles. My desire is to bring God’s truth and wisdom into the room to address issues of the heart, while taking into consideration spiritual, emotional and physical aspects of a person’s situation to foster the best possible outcome for well being and wholeness.
***I offer in person sessions at my office located in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. I am able to offer telehealth sessions in South Carolina, Virginia and Florida as long as there are no high risk factors indicated through our initial conversation. I accept most insurances and will verify benefits upon request.
