My passion is to help every Jesus follower find the love, peace, and joy that Jesus promised that we could experience. There is much brokenness on this earth and many barriers to experiencing love, peace, and joy. I love working together with each person to identify the barriers they have in their life and then find hope filled practices to live a more healthy life, emotionally, spiritually, and even physically.
I can teach you many practical methods for emotional health such as relaxation tools, finding wellness routines for living, and changing our thought life to affect change in emotions and behaviors. I love to use the knowledge I have gained from neuroscience to help people find the emotional health that God designed them to have.
I also offer two specialized therapies to experience healing of the impact of the past. Developmental Needs Meeting Strategy (DNMS) provides healing for the emotional and love needs that were not met in childhood years as well as hurts and wounding by significant adult figures during young years. Eye Movement Desensitization Recovery (EMDR) helps process in become free of the impact of specific traumatic incidents which happened in the past.
Background.
I have been a counselor for 15 years, with added bonus of life experience with variety of career jobs in prior years. I have received my education at Christian schools of Nyack College, and Liberty University. In addition to my professional license as a counselor, I am licensed as an official worker with the Christian & Missionary Alliance. I am married with three young adult children and four grandchildren. Living in a few different states and areas of Pennsylvania has given me unique perspectives on life and relating to people.
