Hi, I’m Pete Ruffini, award-winning therapist and founder of Proven Path Counseling. I help men get unstuck. I specialize in sexual addiction and pornography addiction, trauma, and men’s mental health (anxiety and stress, anger, relationships, infidelity, grief, and shame) .
Over the past 15 years, I’ve helped men break patterns that felt unchangeable. After working in various settings, I saw the same issue: therapy that circled the problem instead of transforming it. That’s why I built Proven Path Counseling—specialized, high-impact therapy rooted in evidence-based methods that support deep, lasting change.
With advanced training beyond the generalist level, I focus on results-driven therapy. Most therapists are compassionate and competent, but many never go beyond general training to specialize in men’s issues, unwanted sexual behavior and pornography addiction, or the deeper drivers behind them—and without that depth, counseling for these issues with a generalist often stays surface-level and drags on.
As a clinical supervisor, I train other therapists in research-backed approaches and bring that same level of precision to every client. I also contribute to media conversations on men’s mental health, sexual addiction, and healthy masculinity to help reduce stigma and promote real solutions.
