Licensed Psychologist | Psychologist
After a 5 year honors undergrad program, I graduated in 2000 from Rosemead School of psychology at Biola University, a leader in the integration of psychology and theology. The intensive 5 year program is one of just a handful that is also accredited by the American Psychological Association. What does this mean for you? The short version of this is that you are getting a therapist who has been trained and licensed at the top level, and also well experienced connecting your faith to how that works out in your relationships and life struggles.
On a personal note, when we meet, I think you’ll notice a few things I’ve heard from clients in the past. First, I’m fairly unassuming. I may have extensive education and experience, but I’ve made some of the same mistakes and had struggles similar to many who walk through my office door. Out of those situations I’ve learned and grown with the help of others. So I have a pretty good idea of what you may be going through, and also what I believe will help, not just as a therapist but as a fellow human being. Second, you’ll also find someone who is quick to listen, learn and adapt to what you need as a partner in this process as we journey toward your goals. One size definitely does not fit all with socks nor in a therapy process. On a side note, you may also notice the occasional Canadian accent, since that’s where I grew up, but you most certainly will notice that I’m a huge F1 car race fan (don’t even get me started about McLaren this year).
If all of this sounds interesting to you, I’d encourage you to grab your favorite hot beverage and follow the link to my website for a look around. There’s much more I’ve written there, and it might help shed even more light on how I might partner with you and your particular situation. When you’re ready, let’s connect on the phone so I can hear more about you.
