I have a background as a Registered Nurse with 33 years of workplace experiences within the hospital system. I have witnessed how some people can overcome the worse of adversites while others give up. The difference is the story they tell themselves about the situation they are facing. I received my Masters in Professional Counseling at Biblical Theological Seminary and after fulfilling PA state requirements, I obtained a licensed in Professional Counseling.(LPC) After working on an inpatient psychiatric unit, I was employed in a group practice for 10 years. I now have a practice of my own with focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy whick entails exploring one’s world view, expectations, perceptions and distortions that are causing negative thinking and feelings such as anxiety, anger and depression.”It’s not what happens to you, it’s the story you tell yourself about it.” My personal life includes my husband, 4 children and 6 grandchildren. My faith in God is a guiding force in my life.
