Licensed Professional Counselor | Ed.S, LPC

Hello, thank you for visiting my profile. I’m so glad you found me. I’m a Certified Life Coach and Licensed Therapist fluent in English and Spanish who enjoys using her expertise to bring hope to the hurting. My private practice is in Missouri where I’m also a Marriage Intensive Therapist for Focus on the Family and have seen God’s power heal broken hearts, marriages, and families. With over two decades of behavioral and mental health experience, I am uniquely positioned to integrate my clinical and biblical knowledge to provide professional counsel whether you are in the Ministry, in a Marriage, or are Mothering.

As a native New Yorker with a strong mix of compassion, authenticity and straightforwardness, I find that I work best with those that are ready to break unhealthy intergenerational patterns and who desire to begin creating healthy family dynamics. I know what it means to cultivate a healthy marriage and know the highs and lows of mothering because as imperfect as marriage and parenting can be, my best friend and I have done so the past 23 years with our teenagers. I share this with you because I love the concept of grace and forgiveness and the healing power it has in our lives.

I believe our past does shape our personalities, our health, who we are today, and how we see the world. I’ve also seen how people’s faith has helped them overcome painful adversities. By helping clients learn to lean in on their struggles with courage, we’re reminded that difficulties provide us with opportunities for growth. There IS hope for a brighter tomorrow.

I believe hope is near for you too, dear friend. As a certified EMDR trauma therapist with specialized training in betrayal trauma: incest, infidelity, physical, sexual or emotional abuse, I treat individuals and families in crisis that need this specialized care.

It is common for someone who has experienced betrayal trauma to feel as if their reality has been shaken to its core. Maybe you’ve been experiencing PTSD symptoms such as flashbacks, anxiety, nightmares, impaired sleeping, depression, brain fog, distrust, and dissociation. Maybe you have difficulty maintaining healthy relationships and keep others at arm’s length because it’s safer that way for you. It’s common for individuals and family dynamics to be interrupted and many times churches aren’t equipped to help navigate the complexity of your current circumstance.

If you or a loved one are looking for a trusted professional, hope is near. Everything is harder when it happens in isolation and we aren’t meant to carry our burdens alone. Connect with me today.
