I offer both in office and video sessions for clients and my office is conveniently located just off the 118 freeway in Porter Ranch, CA.
I provide services for a variety of clients and couples that are seeking help in their lives. One of my areas of specialty is in working with adults that are struggling with addiction and in particular individuals and partners impacted by sexual addiction. This work started in the early 2000’s as I sought help for myself and in time began serving and overseeing ministries in this field. As a counselor I offer both individual treatment, couple’s sessions and group counseling for clients that struggle with sex addiction, their impacted partners and family members, and am nationally certified from the American Association of Sex Addiction Therapists (AASAT) as a:
• Sexual Recovery Therapist (SRT)
• Partner Recovery Therapist (PRT)
• Partner Betrayal and Trauma Therapist (PBTT)
• Intimacy Anorexia Therapists (IAT)
In addition to these specialties, I am nationally certified as a life and recovery coach from the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC). My wife and I have also served as marriage mentors for a local church and continue to work together to serve couples in need. This training and background bring added insights and creativity in working with clients and couples to help them make changes and implement desired goals in their life. On a more personal note, my walk as a Christian is very important to me and as my pastor often shares, I diligently try to “Listen and Follow” to the Lord’s leading in my life and counseling work. While I have and continue learning counseling disciplines, I also lean on the ultimate counselor the Holy Spirit in working with clients. Clients would describe my style as warm, empathetic and a good listener that also provides direct and insightful feedback. In my hours away from work I enjoy spending time with my wife and our dogs, visiting with my children, having fellowship with friends, or getting outdoors on my mountain bike.
