Nikki Linde

Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor | MS, LPCC

My passion is to help others heal from trauma and to enjoy healthy relationships. We all need trusted relationships, to be comforted and to comfort, and to share our joys and struggles. The more connected we are with others, the more we can explore, take risks, restore, and flourish. Yet, sometimes we feel far away from people we long to share our lives with. Together, we will work to develop healthy bonds with self and others, make sense of confusing feelings and physical reactions, and practice skills that bring relief and healing.

I believe a strong therapist-client relationship is the foundation for successful healing. On this foundation, I utilize Emotionally Focused Therapy to help clients break through patterns that keep them stuck. I also incorporate concepts from Neurobiology to help people who experience painful memories and difficult feelings to discover new ways to cope and thrive. I am trained in EMDR Basic and EFT, and I have experience in Motivational Interviewing, Internal Family Systems, CBT and DBT which I use collaboratively, with my clients, to help them achieve their goals.

Life has provided me with ample training which I use to create an atmosphere of safety and acceptance with my clients. Formally, I have a B.S. in Geology and a M.S. in Science Education, both from Syracuse University. Previously, I was a high school earth science teacher and a clinical health educator for a large health care organization. My second master’s degree is in Clinical Counseling from Walden University. I have worked in a residential treatment center for eating disorders where I gained experience with leading groups, assessment, diagnosis, DBT, CBT, and Internal Family Systems. Currently, I work at the Bayside Counseling Center where I incorporate all of my training to support my clients achieve their best mental health and well-being.
