I was born and raised in California. I moved to Florida in 1995 and relocated to Texas in 2010.
My education includes both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Music from San Diego State University, theological studies from both Fuller Theological Seminary and Claremont School of Theology, a doctoral in Worship Studies from The Robert E. Webber Institute for Worship Studies, and a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic University.
I spent 33 years as an associate pastor in various Methodist churches in California, Florida, and Texas. I was always the counseling pastor, in addition to doing Christian Education, Youth work, and Music Ministry.
I am a mother of two grown children and a grandmother of five.
I have had a private counseling practice for eleven years. I also teach part-time at a local community college. I am thoroughly trained as a clinical counselor, and as a “retired” pastor I also incorporate a biblical approach to the counseling experience when it is welcomed by my patients. I especially enjoy working with couples in marriage counseling, individuals with mental health diagnoses such as depression, anxiety, bipolar, personality disorders, dissociative identity disorder, etc., and patients with addictions. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and senior citizens.
