Many women find themselves trapped in a relentless cycle of perfectionism, self-criticism, and dissatisfaction with their bodies. Others feel consumed by anxious thoughts that leave them exhausted, discouraged, and trapped. Whether you are struggling with an eating disorder, body image concerns, OCD, anxiety, or the burden of never feeling “good enough,” these challenges can affect every area of life and make it difficult to experience peace and freedom.
My passion is helping women ages 18+ break free from these patterns and experience the freedom that comes from seeing themselves through the eyes of Christ. I believe true healing involves growing in understanding of both God’s grace and our identity in Him, learning to rest in the truth of who He says we are rather than in the shifting messages of our culture, our circumstances, or our own inner critic. My desire is to help women find lasting hope and healing as they move toward a life marked by greater freedom, peace, and confidence in Christ.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wake Forest University. My approach is grounded in evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Humanistic Therapy. Because every person’s story is unique, I tailor treatment to fit each client’s individual needs, strengths, and goals.
I am a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) through the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (IAEDP) and an Eating Disorder Informed Professional through the Eating Recovery Center. I have completed specialized training in the treatment of OCD through Harvard Medical School and the Massachusetts General Hospital Psychiatry Academy, as well as trauma-focused training through the International Trauma Training Institute.
As a Christian counselor, I believe faith can be a powerful source of hope, healing, and resilience. When clients desire it, I am honored to thoughtfully integrate their faith into the counseling process. Whether you are struggling with disordered eating, intrusive anxious thoughts, relationship challenges, or the effects of trauma, my goal is to walk alongside you with compassion and evidence-based care as you pursue healing, growth, and lasting freedom.
