I am a follower of Christ, a wife, mother, sister, daughter, niece and friend. These are the most important relationships in my life. I love serving people and have a helping personality. While it sounds cliche in our world today, most of the people who know me best describe me as a genuinely caring and kind person. Other traits that show up in my work are my passions for attaining goals, continual learning and improvement, pursuing excellence, and a high level of professionalism. Professionally, I have degrees in Communication, Elementary Education, Gifted Education, Marriage and Family Therapy, and a post-graduate certificate in Counseling Children and Adolescents.
One of my great joys is helping couples restore their marriages and strengthen their families. From the moment my clients meet me, they tell me it is clear that I am for them and for their marriage. This is definitely true! My passion areas include working with couples to restore trust and the feeling of true connection in their marriage and counseling children through play therapy and parent-child bonding work. As a former elementary teacher, I enjoy working with children and also have a playful, creative, curious, and silly side that helps me build rapport with them. Professionally, I love what I do and truly enjoy reading, researching, and learning through trainings, so that I consistently bring the very best care to the families and clients I am honored to serve. For fun, I enjoy being outdoors hiking, biking and camping in our beautiful mountains, coffee and conversations, Bible study with friends, hosting gatherings, and walking the beach when I can. Someday I would love to kayak New Zealand, write a children’s book, and perform in a play.
