I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate in the state of North Carolina and a Nationally Certified Counselor.
I specialize in play therapy working with the emotional and developmental needs of children ages 3 through 12 dealing with fear, anger, impulsivity, tantrums, school issues, bullying, trauma and other challenges. I am also trained in child-parent relationship therapy and work with caregivers and parents to develop and improve skills that strengthen the parent-child bond. Additionally, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and work with adults of all ages struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, workplace stress, and life transitions.
At Comfort Counseling Center, I aim to create a welcoming space where people of all ages, backgrounds and walks of life feel safe to begin the vulnerable work of healing and moving toward the satisfying life they desire.
