Leo Mora is a family man and, secondly, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Supervisor (LMFT-S) in Texas, the Lone Star state. Leo and his wife, Wendy, will soon celebrate 46 years of marriage. They first met while attending high school in southern California in the mid-1970s.
Leo provides therapy and counseling services for individuals, couples, and families and, upon request, offers a Christian faith-based worldview on many personal, relevant, and contemporary issues. He treats anxiety, depression, grief/loss, and acute sexual/eating/gambling addictions and can capably speak to LGBT-Q and ethnic minority issues and concerns. Also, Leo specializes in treating complex combat trauma among active-duty service and family members, retirees, and veterans from all five branches of the Department of Defense (DoD). The U. S. Army regards him as an expert in posttraumatic stress injury (PTSI) treatment and recovery. Leo is a clinical supervisor, mentor, consultant, researcher, and instructor at the Chaplain Family Life Training Center, Fort Cavazos (formerly Ft. Hood), Texas.
Upon your first visit, you can expect a warm and inviting reception capped with unconditional positive regard. (My practice location offers a handicapped-accessible entrance for those in need.) We will get to know one another in the first session and work to tailor your treatment goals to establish what you need first.
