I am a seasoned, experienced therapist, who has been in full-time practice of counseling since 1984. I am invested in creating a safe, welcoming environment for my clients. Holding an unconditional positive regard for my clients is most important to me as all deserve to be respected. I possess a biblical worldview. I have been described by clients I’ve worked with as being personable, compassionate, non-threatening, a good listener, easy to talk to, a good communicator, and having a sense of humor. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Toledo, a Master’s degree in Pastoral Psychology and Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry degree in Formational Counseling also from Ashland Theological Seminary in Ohio. I know my Savior lives and He has unmistakably called me into a personal relationship with Him. I know that He has called me and other believers to reflect His glory through the enablement of the Holy Spirit. I am fortunate to have been trained by one of the pioneers of Christian counseling, Dr. Richard D. Dobbins. I had regularly tuned in to listen to Dr. James Dobson when he was on Focus’ daily broadcasts. Currently, I do not accept any insurances, but I will work with clients to determine a negotiable fee.
