I am a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner – board certified – providing diagnostics and medication management for ages 3-30 years. I have worked with the child/adolescent population, for 30+ years with a passion to support family systems. I thoroughly enjoy adolescent and college age students. I serve many families with adopted children from around the world. I previously worked internationally in developing countries for 10 years.
I am a conservative prescriber, tailoring medication to remission of symptoms with the shared goal to taper and discontinue medication as soon as safely possible.
I am also a spiritual director and intentionally provide holistic care of the individual: physical (medical), emotional (mental health) and spiritual. I am privileged to sit with scores of Christian families and encourage clients and parents to process their spiritual journeys – where they experience God’s presence, or not, amid their mental health struggles.
I primarily see clients in my office and offer telehealth appointments in extentuating circumstances, such as severe medical illness, and to college students who return to my office during breaks from school. I am not licensed to prescribe outside of Colorado.
