Encourage, Explore, Empower

Life can be overwhelming at times. In working together our counseling relationship will be a collaborative effort to help you navigate the challenges you are facing. I view your strengths from a holistic lens – encompassing the emotional, physical and spiritual aspects of your life. We will explore self -care strategies which may include an awareness of healthy nutrition, movement, rest, meditation, and prayer as you learn new ways of coping and problem solving.

With the love that God has placed in my heart for those who are struggling, I consider it a privilege to walk alongside you on this journey toward increased joy, connection, confidence, and hope.
Some have described me as being non-judgemental, open-minded, understanding, “real”, trustworthy, easy to talk with and as having a “sprinkling” of humor.

I enjoy collaborating with young adult college students and career through older adult ages.

We will use a variety of techniques and methods as God leads us on your healing journey. These may include: Motivational Interviewing, Brief- Solution Focused, Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Mindfulness Practices.

I received a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Grand Valley State University, a B.A. in Psychology from Wheaton College and am a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor.
