Mrs. Carol Loya

Licensed Professional Counselor | MA, LPC

Looking for a therapist who is open, warm, transparent and genuine? Looking for someone easy to connect with and talk to? As someone who’s been there, I understand how difficult it can be to take the first step to see a counselor. I am here to take the stigma away and to help you feel comfortable and safe navigating through life’s struggles by providing safe ears and decades of life experience. Sometimes it helps to have someone who is non-judgmental and present with you to help with the twists and turns of your life path.

Your story is yours alone. It is what sets you apart from every other person on the planet. You are the expert on your life! I would feel privileged to help you navigate your personal journey and come along side you. If you would like someone to help you go deeper to understand yourself from a Biblical perspective and find freedom from the pain that holds you back, then it would be an honor to walk with you and help you do the brave work of healing, growth, and change.

Are you struggling to communicate with your spouse and having difficulties resolving issues? Are you feeling alone and leading parallel lives? My own marriage journey of over 40 years has given me an undeniable passion to help couples find healing and connection.

Are you dealing with raising a family or caring for your aging parents? As a mother of seven who has had to balance family, ministry, a career and providing care for parents in their end stages of life, I fully understand what those journeys look like. Simply being listened to can be powerful and transformative. Doing therapy with someone who has been there and has the T-shirt can empower you to build safe, connected, healthy relationships between you and your family members.

Sometimes adults or young people find it difficult to navigate cultural issues and barriers, whether it’s returning to the US from living in another country or coming to the US for the first time. As a bilingual therapist who lived in Central America for over 10 years, I can help you navigate culture shock, re-entry and issues related to acculturation, assimilation and the blending of cultures.

If any of these things resonate with you, please don’t hesitate to contact me so we can talk and see if we would be a good fit working together. Again, it would be my privilege to walk with you on your journey to healing, growth, and change.
