As a Christian counselor, I am drawn to help people who hurt find HOPE.
If your marriage is struggling, if you’ve lost yourself in the throes of depression, if you suffer from PTSD, or if you’re plagued by anxiety, my role is to guide you towards finding a new “life lens” so that you can see yourself through God’s eyes. I weave together scripture, prayer, and a blend of psychological techniques to establish realistic goals and to provide personalized solution-focused plans for success. While we all experience hardships, God doesn’t intend for us to live a life of misery, but one of JOY.
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in private practice. I have been a therapist at Hickory Grove Baptist Church Counseling Center in Charlotte, NC since 1988. Over 33 years of experience in both education and mental health have provided an important basis for working with diverse and intense emotional and spiritual issues with adults, adolescents, children, couples, families and groups. More recently, I expanded my practice and have had the privilege to work at Tabonuco Counseling and Consulting to serve the Charlotte and surrounding areas.
