Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist | MA, MDiv, DMin, MFT

As a Marriage and Family Therapist I don’t look for who is the problem but how does the system support the symptoms that are present. I work from this system’s approach to work with the client to make changes not only in themselves but in the system they find themselves in. I am not the one with the answers, but the person who is able to ask questions and guide the person seeking help to find the answers and solutions that will guide them on the road to better health and wholeness.

In my practice I function as the guide who knows the trail. I may not have traveled your particular road, but I know the sign posts to look for and can assist you in finding that new trail of vitality that has been missing.

I was born and raised in California and was active in my home church as a child and youth. After graduation from high school, I attended Northwestern College, in Orange City, IA (a Christian College). Following college, I attended Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in 1981. In 2000, I earned a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Sioux Falls Seminary. Then in 2005, I earned a Doctor of Ministry degree in Church and Pastoral Health from Western Theological Seminary. I have been married to my college sweetheart since 1978, and we have 2 adult children who are happily married.
