Brittney McGraw

EMDR Certified, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor

As a believer in Christ and a licensed mental health therapist, I believe in creating a judgment-free space where you can feel and speak in a way that builds trust and acceptance. It is my goal to help you uncover wounds and get on a path of healing. Jesus loves YOU. God has more grace than there is sin in the world. I believe in helping you remember those important messages as we work through what troubles you.

Being raised in poverty, abuse and dysfunction, I understand trauma, anxiety and depression on a personal level. I had my first son very young and I know what being terrified and alone feels like. Which is why I lean into God and scripture regularly. I believe God has called me to help others and I seek to serve. Some of my favorite verses are from Matthew and Isaiah.

Matthew 6:26: Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?

Isaiah 41:10: fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

With faith and therapy, I was able to learn how to process the past, develop positive coping strategies and participate in the life I wanted to steward. Jesus has always been guiding me, but it wasn’t until the last few years that I started to see how much his love and grace have supported my whole existence. I try to surrender to him every day. Some days that is extra difficult, but I want you to know that even in times of hardship, you are never alone.

I graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree from Oregon State University and went on to get my Master’s of Science degree in Community Mental Health from the University of Wyoming. I am licensed in both South Dakota and Wyoming.

I have an extensive background working with all ages, including individuals, couples, families and community outreach programs. I have worked with diverse populations ranging from rural to urban and various struggles including trauma, grief, addiction, anxiety, depression and relationship issues.

I am a Certified Family Trauma Professional and EMDR therapist. I am an Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist and a Technology Addiction and Digital Wellness Specialist. I have further training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I use a psychodynamic approach to help facilitate healing and find your path toward personal joy and healthy relationships.

God bless you.
