Therapy is a place to process your thoughts and feelings, to examine struggles, and to be regarded with respect and empathy as you find your way toward your goals. Therapy is also a place to come away from with tangible and applicable solutions.
In therapy, sometimes we peel back the layers to process grief or a difficult past in order to heal, uncover strengths to increase self-esteem, or discover unhelpful thinking styles that lead to unwanted emotions. You will learn new skills for your current challenge, and have a chance to consider different perspectives. Of course, therapy can just simply be a place to sit with a non-judgmental person to help process thoughts or feelings you wrestle with.
When not at the office, I am probably working on a DIY home project so that I can be easily available for one of my two teenagers to need me or talk to me! When I get out, I’m exploring Florida’s springs & rivers on a paddleboard, at the beach with friends, or knee deep in several books at once.
