Jessica Utterback is a Licensed Associate Counselor, and holds a Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University. Jessica is a member of Alpha Chi at GCU and received her Bachelors from Wheaton College. Jessica worked as a social worker with a local Christian Adoption Agency and as a Behavior Interventionist at a local k-6 charter school prior to entering into the field of counseling.
Jessica incorporates trauma based and attachment modalities such as EMDR and Family Systems to support the clients in processing their life experiences and moving into a healthier way of living and functioning. Jessica currently works with both adolescents and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma and relationship issues. Jessica is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and will soon be trained in providing marital intensives.
Jessica was raised in a Christian home, attended Christian schools from 7th grade through college. She is an active member in her church, local community and supports central phoenix Young Life. Jessica and her husband volunteered with Safe Families and were also a licensed Foster Family. She and her husband have been married for over 15 years and has 3 children.
Jessica is under the direct supervision of Jennifer Cecil, M.Ed., LPC, who is an approved Clinical Supervisor through the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners. Jessica will be working out of the North Phoenix Baptist office and has availability for both in-person and virtual sessions on Monday-Friday 8:30-3:30.
