Licensed Professional Counselor | LPC
My journey began as a pastor of three small churches, where I was very passionate about teaching the Bible and mentoring people through various struggles. I was in this role for eleven years and during this time I obtained a Master’s degree in Theological Studies from Liberty University Baptist Theological Seminary. I was also involved in a local juvenile detention facility where I taught the youth about the Bible and provided faith-based counseling services. It was in this facility that I began to learn more about the world of addiction and recovery. This helped develop a passion for counseling individuals battling various challenges associated with addictions and therefore, returned to school to further develop this skill. I also began learning how brain functioning is affected by addictions and how to help those striving toward a life of recovery. I received my Master’s degree in counseling from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. I am passionate about helping individuals and families by providing a holistic counseling approach of instruction, guidance, and insight so they can achieve meaning and purpose in their lives through personal development and emotional growth.
I will always come with a listening ear and an open heart. I believe that therapy is a great resource and is most successful when the individual can engage in an unbiased and safe atmosphere to begin processing through their past, present, and future. My goal is to see everyone experience healing through healthy processing and move forward into the most rewarding future.
My style of therapy is eclectic psychotherapy, which will incorporate various types of theories, based on each individual situation. I will work with individuals, couples, and families, adolescents, young adults, adults, and the elderly. I would love to meet with you if you are struggling with addictions, depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, martial conflicts, employment challenges, familial concerns, or re-entering society.
