I became a Christ-follower at the age of 21. Jesus gave me a purpose and a passion. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I did my practicum at Houston’s First Baptist Church, where I served on the family team. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M. I taught in public schools and worked in various ministries before pursuing my master’s degree from Abilene Christian University. I obtained my master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy with an emphasis in Trauma in the Spring of 2020. As a Certified Focus Marital Therapy provider, I also work with couples to strengthen emotional resilience, improve communication, and foster deeper connection. I am a co-therapist/contractor with Hope Restored (part of Focus on the Family) in Wimberley, Texas. In addition, I am a leader in Celebrate Recovery. My husband and I married in 1997 and have 4 grown children.
I integrate evidence-based approaches, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), trauma-informed and addiction-informed treatment, to support clients navigating emotional dysregulation, substance use, relationship difficulties, childhood trauma, and co-occurring challenges. Above all, I prioritize safety and trust within the therapeutic relationship, creating a space where meaningful growth can occur. I would be honored to join you on your healing journey.
