Sara Montoya

I am a Hispanic Christian woman who was born and raised in the United States. I was always brought up to love the country I was born in and to be proud of my Hispanic roots and heritage. As a Christian, my life always revolved around church and helping others in the community. Due to my parents involvement in community, church, and family, I chose to focus my education and degree on Marriage and Family Therapy. I grew up with a strong belief that the family is the basic unit of society that needs to be supported and strengthened. This basic unit is impacted by so much adversity on an individual level. Everyone has an incredible story to tell of navigating through life’s challenges and how they overcame. However, many individuals and families are still going through difficult storms in their life and feel as if their boat is sinking. My goal is to help others navigate through these storms by helping individuals gain, hope, skills and confidence to face future storms. My work and passion has always been around families and sharing this hope and healing.
