Pamela Chowayou is a Christian licensed mental health counselor and founder of Grounded Mental Health Counseling, PLLC. Pam utilizes a solution-focused approach, teaming up with clients to develop short and long-term goals that improve their social, relational and occupational functioning. Pam works with clients to identify negative thinking patterns to develop coping strategies in a safe, non-judgmental setting. Pam graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, the Austin Marxe School of International Relations and Public Affairs and Nyack College’s Alliance Graduate School of Counseling. Pam provided mental health services at The Bowery Mission and the Market Street Mission. Pam sees patients at an outpatient mental health clinic alongside her private practice. Pam is NCC board certified. Pamela is warm and engaging with a desire to walk with you on your mental health journey. Pamela loves spending time with her family, volunteering at her church and listening to 80s music. She hopes to work with you in whatever life season you are in. Pamela is licensed to practice in New York State. Clients must physically be in New York State during a telehealth appointment.
