Licensed Clinical Social Worker | MSW, LCSW
I provide remote services only
Hi, I’m Paige! I know how daunting the process of finding a therapist can feel, especially when you are searching for someone who shares your values and who you can trust to provide support that is both Biblically consistent and also clinically sound. Great job taking the steps to make it this far! Below are some details about myself and my practice that I hope will be helpful as you discern if I might be the right fit for you!
AREAS OF PASSION:
While serving as a social work professor at a small Christian university, I quickly discovered my passion for helping young adult women navigate challenges like anxiety, depression, struggles with understanding their immense value, and the transition to adulthood. Many young women experience uncertainty as they are exploring who they have been, who they are, and who they are becoming. If any of this sounds familiar, it would be an honor to walk alongside you and help you discover a path to greater peace, a stronger sense of worth, and reduction of symptoms as you take on the challenges of young adulthood.
CHRISTIAN COUNSELING:
I specialize in Christian counseling, as my Christian faith is at the root of all I do as a therapist. It is out of my faith that I see the inherent dignity and worth of every client. My faith guides how I invite clients to see themselves–as images of God, children of God, and loved by God. A verse that I find very relevant to my practice is:
“I sought the Lord and He answered me and delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to Him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed.” Psalm 34:4-5
Shame and fear are powerful motivators that can keep us from change and from living in relationship with God the way we were intended. I find this verse to be a valuable reminder that our God is responsive. He is a deliverer. He is stronger than any shame or fear. His presence brings light to darkness. As a Christian counselor, I aim to follow in my Father’s footsteps by bringing light, being responsive, and guiding clients to see the truth about who they are.
TREATMENT APPROACH:
I offer a warm, authentic space for clients to grow. I begin our work together by listening to you and tailoring my approach to your individual needs and strengths, drawing most often from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and Christian mindfulness techniques.
A NOTE TO THOSE CONSIDERING COUNSELING:
I know it can be intimidating to start counseling for the first time or to begin again with someone new. Your concerns matter to me and I am hopeful that we’ll get the chance to talk through the questions or fears you may have about starting this journey. It is important to be both heard and seen. I promise to give you my attention and to offer curiosity rather than judgment. You are worth that!
In a world that praises us for managing things on our own, it can be hard to reach out for help. Yet, it is in those moments of connection and vulnerability that we find true strength. I would love to talk with you about what working together could look like! The first step is a free 15 minute phone consultation with the owner of Rooted Hope Counseling, who is also a member of the Christian Counselor’s Network. To schedule, please call, text, email, or book at time on our website!
