As a Christian woman, you carry a heavy load. Your shoulders know the intimate pain of juggling the valuable relationships with your spouse, children, and friends, while wrestling the emotional roller coaster life tosses your way. Dredging through your daily tasks, you yearn to find moments just to take care of you. It’s tough being a woman, and being a Christian woman adds another layer of complexity to this journey.
As you face life’s challenges, you’re grappling with a world that urges you to be open-minded and accepting of all viewpoints, mixed with a religious core that directs you to love authentically while keeping in alignment with Biblical teachings. You want to be real about your struggles, but sometimes face judgment within the Church for not being a “good enough” Christian.
While you know you love Jesus, you might have been slighted by his people, triggered by the way they treat others, and even the way they’ve treated you. Ultimately, you yearn for a place you can let down your walls, explore your beliefs, and rebuild life confidently.
Conversations with respected religious leaders and compassionate congregation members have offered seemingly simplistic solutions like praying or reading your Bible more. And while those actions are valuable, your hunger for a deeper connection with God remains unfulfilled, and you grapple with how to reach it as you juggle your mental health needs.
You’re now ready to confront these challenges through Christian counseling, with the confidence of finding the unbiased emotional and spiritual support you truly need.
We will work together to create a space that feels safe enough for you to actually let these walls down. I will work each session to earn your trust and show up authentic in the therapy space. We will discuss your goals and how to best incorporate your faith to grow deeper in your connection with God as you overcome these struggles. Sometimes that looks like talking about God’s plans for you, navigating the understanding of scripture, praying together, and embracing tasks to complete in between sessions to best fit your needs.
