Hello! My name is Matt Hoffman. I am a licensed professional counselor in Wisconsin, and have held my license for almost 6 years. I live in Eau Claire, WI with my wife and four children. My wife and I moved our family overseas to the Middle East, where we served as missionaries for some time. Due to some individual and family health challenges, we moved back to the US in late 2024. As a therapist, while I am versatile and open to working with anyone in areas of depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship stress, I specialize in working with individuals and families who care for loved ones living with complex medical challenges or childhood disability, and the stress, trauma, and grief that comes with that life and calling. I also specialize in working with children through play therapy and sand tray work to help them process their emotions and experiences. I remain trauma-informed and person-centered in my work, and I utilize a broad array of spiritual and psychotherapeutic modalities and interventions to meet each client. I integrate my faith in Christ with a cognitive-behavioral, narrative, and psycho-dynamic approach to help people work to find meaning in the grief, peace in the storm, and healing on the journey that they are called to walk.
