Maribel Laguna earned a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Dallas in 2004 and an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from the University of North Texas in 2007. Ms. Laguna is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist. Based in Dallas, Texas, she is the founder and owner of Cor Sacrum Counseling and Consulting. Additionally, she served as the past board president of the Catholic Psychotherapy Association. Ms. Laguna’s counseling experience encompasses various environments, including the Dallas County Juvenile Detention Center, Genesis Women’s Shelter, and Dallas Independent School District Youth and Family Centers. Her areas of specialization include vocational discernment, premarital preparation, and marital counseling, often involving collaboration with diocesan vocational leaders and the facilitation of human formation workshops and conferences for Catholic seminarians. Furthermore, Ms. Laguna is a frequent presenter at Catholic conferences nationwide and has appeared as a guest on EWTN’s Cara a Cara.
