Kimberly Faust

Licensed Professional Counselor | MA, LPC, NCC, ADDC

I have 25+ years working with children, adolescents, and families in varying capacities from teaching, casework, crisis services/evaluation, to traditional therapeutic services. I’m skilled at building rapport quickly to help clients feel at ease in the therapy process. I have experience working with various population groups to include the military, homeless, incarcerated individuals, individuals with disabilities, foster youth and families.

I attended the University of Northern Colorado where I earned my Bachelor of Art’s degree in Social Sciences with a minor in Sociology. I then spent 6 years in the social work field before pursuing my Master of Art’s degree at Colorado Christian University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I completed my practicum and internship at the Springs Rescue Mission where we provided ongoing therapy services and triaged mental health care for clients who were displaced or navigating homelessness.

I have basic training in Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. While working in my graduate studies I also was certified in suicide ASIST training to help empower people and provide skilled, life-saving interventions. I’m currently a Colorado Addiction Counselor Candidate (ADDC) and completing licensure hours to earn my Licensed Addiction Counselor endorsement (LAC).

My passion has always been to help people. It is an honor and privilege when someone invites you to walk alongside them as they sort through the challenges and trials that life tends to throw our way.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and my friends. I enjoy the arts especially fine art and music. I play the bass guitar as well as dabble in percussion. I also love to read (when time allows it!) and being in the outdoors.
