Jená holds an MA degree in Counseling Psychology and is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the States of Idaho (LMFT-8584) and California (LMFT-125510). Prior to settling in Coeur d’Alene, ID with her family of five, Jená provided psychotherapy and support services within the home, clinic, and school settings throughout Los Angeles counties and the San Francisco Bay Area for over 10 years. Working in communities with high levels of trauma, she developed a diverse therapeutic skillset rooted in family-systems-centered CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and Play Therapy modalities.
As the spouse of a First-Responder, and a Veteran herself, she carries a true passion for establishing authentic connection, and unique insight into the specific struggles service families can face. Utilizing a holistic lens, Jená provides hope-focused treatment to women, children, and adolescents healing from trauma and childhood abuse, PTSD, anxiety, depression, secondary trauma, co-addictions/codependency, and the burdens of toxic shame.
Jená is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC).
