Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Master Social Worker | LMSW, LCSW
I am passionate about helping teen girls and young adult women grow in a deeper understanding of themselves, their experiences and their relationships; helping them find freedom, hope, and healing to live more authentic lives and to embrace more fully who God created them to be.
I am Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master of Social Work from Grand Valley State University (2010) and a Bachelor of Social Work from Dordt University (2005). I have several years of experience working with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds, through child welfare, home-based family counseling, hospice care, outpatient counseling, school social work, and school-based counseling.
I truly believe that there is hope for any situation and that each person is valuable, purposefully created and designed in the image of God. I specialize in supporting teen girls, college students, and young adult women who are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relational and family issues, grief and loss, identity and self-worth issues, stress management, adjustment issues, school-related concerns, and major life transitions.
Counseling from a holistic perspective, as well as drawing from my education and life experiences, I integrate a strengths-based, person-centered approach. In addition, I have experience and advanced training in trauma-focused treatment strategies, including Brainspotting. I offer a personable therapeutic relationship and seek to create a safe, non-judgmental space, where my clients are welcomed to honestly explore their stories.
Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, exploring new cities, learning about other cultures, gathering with neighbors and friends, engaging in authentic conversations, and going on adventures with my husband and our three kids.
