Dr. John has more than thirty years experience in ministry as an ordained minister; 15+ years in military chaplaincy, in both Active Duty and Reserves, including combat tour of duty in Iraq; Selected as Senior Protestant Chaplain twice as a Captain; Featured in several newspapers, US Air Force website and Department of Defense’s Real Warriors program for work in Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Suicide Intervention. He holds a Master of Arts in Theological Studies, a Master of Divinity, specializing in Pastoral Counseling, and a Doctorate of Ministry in Marriage and Family Counseling. John & Terri have been married 28+ years and have five children. He is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist Supervisor in Texas and Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in Colorado and Missouri, seeing clients only via video in Missouri and Colorado.
He is the Founder and Ministry Director of the ministry team of Restoration Counseling Ministries (formerly known as The Center for Mighty Marriages & Families), in Conroe, Texas (on the north side of Houston). Dr. John stands ready to help you thrive!
