Diane is a licensed professional counselor who believes that one of the highest calls in her life is helping people navigate through difficult times, and she is so thankful that God allows her to participate!
A keen interest in and love for the field of counseling began to shine long ago in Diane’s life. After high school, when she worked her way through her undergraduate Business studies as a dental assistant and hair stylist, she found that the jobs interested her, yet she found her true passion lay in getting to know patients/clients and learn about their unique life journeys.
Diane uses a blended approach in her counseling that she works collaboratively with her clients to pursue. Often our struggles can be traced back to wounds from our past, even when we don’t have clear memories. Diane can provide Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) both of which work in a beautiful way to help process painful thoughts and feelings. She also uses the cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) approach to help explore how thoughts and behaviors can contribute to feelings. She has created a Guided Journal that she offers to help clients on their healing journey.
Diane originally hales from Michigan, but she and her husband Max moved to Texas within a few months of their wedding in 1993 and haven’t looked back. The Lord has blessed them with five children, two grandchildren, and beloved family dog, Simon!
