I understand and have experienced depression and anxiety, as well as what it’s like to be addicted to alcohol and drugs. I have 27 years of recovery, and I couldn’t have done this without the help of God, the church, and those who would listen. I see individual adults in my practice.
My practice is person-centered, and I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy. I’m willing to walk with you hand-in-hand to give you the tools to have and keep a life that is fulfilling. I’ve been dually licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Addiction Counselor for over 15 years.
About Me: I have been following Jesus most of my life. I went to an Assembly of God church where I was an intercessor. I went to Orchard Road Christian Center (closed now, was in Englewood, CO) with Marilyn Hickey and this is where I went to bible college at Word to the World College. I worked at Marilyn Hickey’s prayer center for two years. The activities I was involved in there were being in the chapel band, singing in the choir, reading through the Bible, and leading praise and worship for a college aged group.
I then attended Oral Roberts University where I received a Bachelor’s in psychology and a Master’s in Christian Counseling. I have worked for community mental health agencies for 13 years and then I opened my private practice 5 years ago. Even though I’m just beginning my journey in Christian Counseling I am fully confident in doing Christian Counseling due to my walk with Christ, having read the Bible several times and I keep reading it, my prayer life, and listening to hours of praise and worship a week. I believe that God will help and guide us which can include prayer, Bible scriptures, and listening to the Holy Spirit. I attend church every week and I usually go to Bible Studies and Church dinners.
