Betty Beck

A life worth living can be messy and confusing at times. I can say this from experience. My path to counseling was not quick or direct. That path came from my life decisions, and what has been poured into me from my family of origin. I grew up in a military family- moving every few years. No wonder I have had many changes in my life/career path. I worked as an RN for 30 years. During that time I also was a children’s pastor, that took me to ordination in 2003. After my children left home, God began dealing with me about an original passion he put in my heart. That was to become a counselor. 2015, I graduated with my degree in Marriage and Family therapy. I have not looked back since that time. My passion is to see families gain a better sense of God’s plan for families and to see marriages restored. Through my experience, I have found that many problems in our families are rooted in trauma, that comes from living. That is the reason that I have pursued additional training in trauma therapy. My favorite style is combining research based practices with the word of God.
