Jon Rucker

Licensed Professional Counselor

As your counselor, Jon brings a professional, supportive, and safe environment where you can be yourself. His passion for counseling comes from a desire to see people experience real change and growth in their personal lives and relationships through the aligning of our lives to their God-given design.

Jon values the institutions of family, marriage and faith as cornerstones of human flourishing and draws from the riches of the Christian tradition to understand the complexity of human nature, problems and behavior. Jon draws from a model of therapy known as “Christian Psychology” which converges Christian theology and philosophy, spiritual formation and soul-care into psychotherapeutic treatment that starts with a Christian worldview.

Jon specializes in helping clients (adults, preteens, teenagers) who are struggling with depression, anxiety, anger, spiritual confusion, grief, and self-worth, along with many other issues. Jon also serves couples and families who are facing marriage and relationship difficulties caused by affairs, infidelity, arguments, communication issues and repeated conflict.

Jon is married and the father of two beautiful children (with hopefully more to come!) In his spare time, he enjoys walking, hiking and spending time with friends and family as well as time around the firepit with his springer spaniel, Bailey.

Jon is a graduate of John Brown University and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in both Arkansas and Missouri. He is co-founder of Vineyard Family Counseling and serves clients in-person and online.
