The word psychology means the study of the soul. I believe in a holistic approach that includes the mind, body, and soul. I am a Christian and will provide a safe space for you to express your religious values as well as integrate spirituality within the counseling sessions upon your request. I strive to work collaboratively with clients in identifying their treatment goals and to assist them with issues regarding problems in living. My therapeutic style is eclectic and I incorporate different approaches that include psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and body work interventions. I am a culturally sensitive therapist who understands the needs of communities of color. Each individual is unique in presentation, and I tailor treatment to address the needs that present themselves within the client. As a generalist I have experience working with a wide variety of conditions that include depression, grief/loss, traumatic stress, life transitions, depression, family counseling, spirituality, women’s issues, and conflict resolution.
