I am no stranger to life’s challenges and conflicts. My parent’s divorced while attending high school and during this tumultuous time I had an unplanned pregnancy with a married man. I lacked truthful and honest mentors and after a short marriage, I was a single mother for many years. Successful in my career and fiercely independent, I remarried without the tools for a solid healthy marriage. I continued to strive to be independent which resulted in martial conflict and a sarcastic attitude with friends and family. After years of conflict, I surrendered my heart and life to Jesus who redeems and restores in me a love for my husband, a calm spirit, and a cheerful, positive attitude.
You should also know, I am an ordained minister in my faith community and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of therapy experience. I believe sometimes it is easier to talk with someone outside your social or familial network. I am hoping to help you gain perspective on your life and your strengths while offering you strategies to navigate the stressful situations you are experiencing. I utilize my Christian heritage, integrate Scripture, prayer, and my clinical training in my therapy.
My friends tell me I am an excellent listener who is caring and sensitive, yet straight forward. I bring a lifetime of experience with raising three well-adjusted sons and having worked in three different career fields. I utilize the wisdom and knowledge I have gained from these experiences in my practice which is invaluable!
I am licensed in California, and I am accepting new clients via Telehealth, a video platform which is HIPAA compliant.
