Dr. Mark Bowman

Dr. Mark Bowman was raised in the outskirts of West Atlanta: Powder Springs / Marietta areas. Both of my parents worked for Lockheed Aircraft Corporation for forty years each. I attended McEachern High School. Attended the University of West Georgia to receive a B.A. in Psychology / Criminology, an M.Ed. in Counseling, and an Ed.S. in Counseling. After receiving a call to pastor, I attended New Orleans Baptist Theology Seminary for my M.Div. degree and later attended Trinity Theological Seminary for a Ph.D. in Biblical Counseling. I am married to Linda Bowman. She is from Franklin, TN. Linda is a Lactation Specialist. We have two sons. One is married and they reside in Nashville and the youngest son is single and graduated from TN Tech in Cookeville, TN. For the past 22 years I have served as a Pastor at Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis, TN and have provided Biblical Counseling for both members and non-members. Prior to coming on to the Bellevue staff, this pastor completed four units of C.P.E. (Clinical Pastoral Education) at Emory University in Atlanta and Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN. My passion is found in serving the Lord. I enjoy fly-fishing, formula one racing, and discipling men in an intimate relationship with Christ.
