Dr. Arthur Ojionuka

Arthur Ojionuka, Th.D; Ph.D., LP, is a licensed clinical psychologist. Dr. Ojionuka earned and held two distinctive doctorate degrees, including a doctor of clinical psychology from Walden University and a doctor of theology from Kingsway Christian College and Theological Seminary. He has over 30 years of experience in various domains, including mental health, spirituality, biblical faith-based pastoral counseling, and executive coaching. Dr. Ojionuka treats people of all ages, cultural backgrounds, and various disorders and issues related to existential challenges.

In his clinical practice, Dr. Ojionuka provides psycho-educational assessments, comprehensive psychological evaluations, and intellectual testing for all ages. His eclectic therapeutic approach and treatment modalities draw on evidence-based practice, integrationist approach, and the utilities of cognitive-behavioral therapy, REBT, dialectic behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, and psychodynamic theory to assist adults, children, adolescents, and families in working through a wide variety of mental health presentations and existential life experiences, including marital and family concerns, mood disorders, bipolar, borderline personality disorder, schizophrenia, personality disorders, ADHD, PTSD, trauma, substance abuse, mood disorders-bipolar, depression; anxiety disorders, phobia, marital concerns, bereavement grief, conflict resolution, etc.

Dr. Ojionuka believes that an effective treatment is informed by a collaborative partnership between the doctor and his patient. He ensures a safe and compassionate environment and creates a therapeutic connection with his patients through empathetic listening and the validation of their personal existential experiences. With his didactic or psychoeducation approach to treatment, Dr. Ojionuka focuses more on empowering his patients with responsive and lifetime treatment tools to address, remove, or overcome their respective presentations or stressors to achieve a higher level of functioning.

As well, Dr. Ojionuka firmly believes that facilitating patients’ ability to master the application of specific interventions to specific presentations empowers and provides the patient with the leverage to overcome life’s stressors and the achievement of a lifelong higher level of functioning. Additionally, for those who desire guidance and growth, his unique training in theology and psychology empowers his ability to help individuals and families to learn how to apply their faith or belief system to their unique life experiences as well as understand the symbiotic correlation between spirituality and mental health and their effects on cognitive and social behaviors, and worldview.
