Mrs. Anna Sterner

Anna Sterner is a licensed Clinical Social Worker who earned her masters from Arizona State University. Anna enjoys serving the community in Fairbanks and is passionate about the military family and veterans. She has experience providing mental health services to adults, children/teens, and the family system with a goal to provide support, healing, and hope.

As a Christian therapist, Anna looks at her profession as a calling and her faith in Christ guides her in her work. She believes each person is created by God; they possess gifts and strengths, and all are worthy of dignity and respect.

Anna has training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Attachment Regulation and Competency (ARC) and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). She is a Chemical Dependency Counselor I and certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD.

Prior to Anna earning her Clinical License in Social Work, she worked as a Physical Therapist Assistant, an active-duty member, and was a military spouse for more than 20 years. She is a wife and a mother of 4. God has provided Anna with diverse life experiences in several countries and among a wide variety of cultures which, along with her faith and education, have shaped her as a therapist who provides a holistic approach to mental health.
